When i came home and i tryed it.it showed some crazy colors,after a while i understood it was nvidia drivers,and gart driver that made it. I read some place that if you disable fastwrite and then install mainboard driver it will work because smartgart refuses to autodetect it if it was enabled,now i can start with disabling fastwrite and not getting crazy colors,but in counter strike my performance is like 200 in timerefresh,were i used to get 750-800.
I have never had this problem before. Its very confusing because the card is useless at the moment. I have tried all kind of drivers to mainboard,and also the newest drivers to my graphic card,and some older once. I hope someone have my answer sry for bad english. Thnx for answer! Ok il try it again,but im pretty sure i tried those drivers also. Il respond here on the result.
Another thing is that I gave the graphic card back to the store today and i told them the problem and they test it and said its nothing wrong with the card. Ok now i have tried to download the latest nvidia nforce drivers and the latest ati drivers and its still the same.crazy colors and the i cant se any thing,i need to go in to bios and put fastwrite off. I also tried 3dmark 2005 and i scored around 4000,i usually scores around 6000.
Im 100 procent sure its gart driver that makes it all go wrong,cause i tried sm bus and IDE drivers only and it works,but not gart. I too have had this probelm, with purple and green textures on games and very poor performance. Unfortunalty it can be diagnosed as many different problems.
In the end a fresh install of XP Pro and the installation of the Nforce drivers (5.10) and the most recent and stable Nvidia GFX drivers seemed to fix my problem. A little extreame i know, fresh install can be a hassle. Can i ask out of interest are you running Daemon tools or anything of that ilk? When you boot in safe mode does it specify any problematic areas? Thnx for reply i guess its the same in games,but first of all the crazy color(and 8 bit) is in windows.sometimes i cant even start up pc(i need to turn off fastwrite. Im pretty sure its something wrong with the agp port on the mainboard(strange cause its new).And when nobody else had experienced this problem it must be the reason.
